Technical Overview

While Most Bridge uses advanced technology under the hood, as a user, you don't need to understand all the technical details. However, here's a high-level overview of how the bridge works:

Key Components

  1. Escrow Contract: This is where your funds are securely held on the source chain (Optimism Sepolia) when you initiate a bridge transaction.

  2. Payment Registry: This component manages the release of your assets on the destination chain (Ethereum Sepolia).

  3. Market Makers: These are the entities that facilitate the quick transfer of your assets between chains.

  4. Storage Proofs: This technology ensures that your transaction is verified and secure.

How It All Works Together

  1. When you initiate a bridge transaction, your assets are locked in the Escrow Contract on Optimism Sepolia.

  2. A Market Maker sees your order and sends the equivalent assets to your specified address on Ethereum Sepolia.

  3. The Payment Registry on Ethereum Sepolia records this transaction.

  4. The Market Maker then provides proof to the Escrow Contract that they've completed the transfer.

  5. Once verified, the Market Maker can claim the locked funds from the Escrow Contract.

This process happens quickly and securely, allowing you to receive your assets on the destination chain in just seconds.

Security Measures

Most Bridge prioritizes the security of your assets:

  • Your funds are always either locked in the secure Escrow Contract or sent directly to your address on the destination chain.

  • The use of Storage Proofs ensures that only legitimate transactions are processed.

  • The simple design of the system minimizes the risk of errors or vulnerabilities.

What If Something Goes Wrong?

In the unlikely event that your order isn't fulfilled:

  • Your funds remain safely locked in the Escrow Contract.

  • After 24 hours, if the order hasn't been fulfilled, you can reclaim your funds from the Escrow Contract.

This ensures that your assets are always either successfully bridged or returnable to you, providing peace of mind when using Most Bridge.
